Ask "how much is a stag do?" and you'll get a single average figure with no idea where it came from. That isn't much help when you're trying to tell twenty people what to save.
So here's how the cost is actually built, using our own published prices, and what you need to add on top. Prices were checked in October 2026; the live price for your dates and group size is always on each trip page.
The two halves of the cost
Every stag do has two parts:
- The package: accommodation, activities, booked nights out and, abroad, airport transfers. This is the part you pay in advance and can pin down to the pound.
- Everything else: getting there, food, drink and spending money. This is the part that blows budgets, because nobody writes it down.
What a package costs
These are our from-prices per person. "From" means the lowest price for that trip; your price depends on your dates, group size and choice of accommodation.
| Trip | Nights | From |
|---|---|---|
| Bournemouth Overnight | 1 | £75 pp |
| Liverpool Overnight | 1 | £80 pp |
| Newcastle Overnight | 1 | £105 pp |
| Brighton Classic | 2 | £205 pp |
| Birmingham Classic | 2 | £230 pp |
| London Classic | 2 | £330 pp |
| Albufeira Two Nights | 2 | £145 pp |
| Prague Two Nights | 2 | £160 pp |
| Dublin Classic | 2 | £335 pp |
| Barcelona Classic | 2 | £375 pp |
| Amsterdam Big Weekend | 3 | £945 pp |
What's inside varies by trip, and each trip page lists it. As an example, Newcastle Classic (from £270 pp) is two nights in a three-star hotel in the nightlife area, go-karting, a cocktail class and a guided bar crawl with club entry. Prague Classic (from £285 pp) is two nights in a four-star central hotel, return airport transfers, a river boat trip, a beer tasting and club entry.
Prefer to build your own? Single activities start low. Across our cities, a guided bar crawl is from £10 pp, bubble football from £28 pp, paintballing from £24 pp and go-karting from £50 pp. Each activity page shows the price in every city.
What isn't in the price
| Usually in a package | Usually not |

| The listed activities | Trains, fuel or coach travel to a UK city, unless you ask us to add a coach |
| Booked dinners and club entry, where listed | Food and drink outside what's listed |
| Airport transfers abroad, where listed | Travel insurance |
| Spending money, taxis and late-night food |
The costs groups forget
These are typical ranges, not quotes. Prices move with the season and how early you book, so err on the high side when you tell the group.
- Flights: typically £60 to £250 return per person for a European weekend, more in school holidays and on Friday evenings.
- Getting to a UK city: anything from a shared car to £100+ for a peak-time train. Booking advance tickets helps.
- Food and drink: typically £80 to £150 per person per day on a big night, less in Prague or Albufeira, more in London, Dublin or Amsterdam.
- The groom's share: covered by the group in most stags. Twelve people on a £270 trip means the groom's place adds about £25 to everyone else.
- Kitty and extras: rounds, taxis, a matching T-shirt, a late kebab. Budget £20 to £50 a head.
- Travel insurance: a few pounds for a weekend if you don't already have an annual policy.
Three worked examples
To show how it adds up for one person (typical figures, rounded up):
- A UK overnight: a one-night package from £75 to £135, plus £40 travel, plus £120 for the day and night. Roughly £235 to £295.
- Two nights in a UK city: a package from £205 to £330, plus £60 travel, plus £250 across two days. Roughly £515 to £640.
- Two nights abroad: a package from £145 to £375, plus £150 flights, plus £220 spending. Roughly £515 to £745.
The surprise for most groups is that a cheap European city can cost the same as a UK weekend once flights are in. Abroad wins when flights are cheap and the drinks are cheaper still. Our guide to UK or abroad goes through it.
How to bring the cost down
- Go for one night, not two. The biggest single saving. A Saturday overnight still gets you an activity, dinner and a big night.
- Avoid the obvious dates. Bank holidays, big home matches and school holidays push up rooms and flights.
- Share rooms and apartments. Twins, triples and shared apartments cost less per head than hotel singles.
- Pick one headline activity. One great activity beats three rushed ones.
- Book early. You get the widest choice of rooms and slots, and longer to spread the payments.
Questions to ask about any stag quote
Whoever you book with, these five questions stop surprises later:
- Is the price per person, and for how many nights? A cheap headline price is sometimes for one night, or for the cheapest room type only.
- What exactly is included? Ask for a list: rooms, activities, dinners, club entry, transfers.
- What happens if someone drops out? Shared costs like a boat or a minibus get split between fewer people.
- When is the balance due, and what if someone cancels?
- Where is the accommodation? "Central" should mean walking distance to the night out, not a taxi ride.
Our trip pages answer all five, and your plan spells them out before anyone pays.
How paying works
With us, the trip goes on one group link that shows the plan and the price each. Everyone pays their own deposit to secure their place, then their own balance, which is due ten weeks before the trip. You can see who has paid without chasing anyone. Deposits aren't refundable, and inside 70 days of the trip the full cost is due, so make sure people are sure before they pay.
