Prague Classic

The Prague Classic is two nights in a four-star central hotel with return airport transfers, a river boat trip, a beer tasting and club entry. It suits a group that wants a comfortable hotel and a full weekend at a price that would buy a hostel bed further west.

The river boat comes first, with the group together on the water, and the first night finishes with club entry. The next afternoon is a beer tasting: a walk through how the beer is made, then a guided flight at the table. The main night is the group's own, with the old town's bars a short walk apart.

Prague's old town is compact, so bars, hotel and restaurants are all on foot, and moving between bars is easy because they are close together. The clubs run several floors and stay open until it is light, and the group's spending money goes much further than at home. Food, drinks and anything the group adds on the night are paid locally. Flights are not included.

Your weekend, day by day

  1. Day 1

Boat party & cruise in Prague

    Boat party & cruise

    From about 15:00 · 1.5 hours

Arrival day. The transfer brings the group in from the airport, roughly half an hour by road, then the river boat trip in the afternoon. Boarding is at a fixed time, so leave a margin. Trainers or deck shoes and a layer for the water.

    More about this

There are three Prague formats on the Vltava. Beer boats are pedal-powered with a captain, seat 11 or 12, run for 90 minutes in daytime slots, and refuse anyone who arrives under the influence. Private cruises last about 55 minutes with beer and wine on board, leave on the hour from near Mánes Bridge, ask you to arrive 30 minutes early and sometimes take a returnable deposit. The big public party boat is the late option, with two decks and a DJ, boarding around 10:30pm. Bring ID for all three, and expect larger groups to be split across boats.

You board at a fixed time and the boat runs a set loop, so latecomers are left on the dock. Onboard there is a bar and usually a DJ or a sound system you can plug into. Some are private charters for your group alone, others are shared with other bookings.

What is included varies more here than anywhere else: some are entry only, some include a drinks package, some include food. Get that in writing before you pay.

Deck shoes or trainers, nothing with a heel. It is colder on the water than on land, even in summer, so bring a layer.

Club entry, VIP & booths in Prague

    Club entry, VIP & booths

    From about 23:30 · 4 hours

The first night finishes with guest-list club entry, past the queue. Prague's clubs stay open until it is light. Dress codes are enforced on stag groups: no sportswear and no matching shirts.

    More about this

Prague's clubs start late, so entry slots are generally from 11pm, with a guide meeting the group near Charles Bridge, taking you in past the queue and staying for the first hour. The best-known venue is a five-floor complex by the river, and the others used for groups are within about a 30-minute walk of the centre. Every door checks ID and expects smart casual. VIP packages add a reserved table and either a bar allowance per person or a bottle of spirits shared between about four. Book the VIP table for the main night and plain entry for the others.

Standard entry gets the group past the queue on a guest list, which matters because large male groups are the first ones a door turns away. A booth adds a reserved table, a set number of bottles with mixers and a host who looks after the table.

Booths are sold on a minimum spend rather than a flat fee at many clubs, so the bottles you order count towards it. Ask what the minimum is and what it includes before you agree to anything.

Dress code is enforced hard on stag groups. No sportswear, no trainers at some doors, no matching shirts, and nobody visibly drunk gets in regardless of the booking.

  2. Day 2

Beer tasting & brewery tour in Prague

    Beer tasting & brewery tour

    From about 14:00 · 2 hours

A slow morning, then the beer tasting in the afternoon: a look at how the beer is made, then a guided flight at the table. It is a sit-down activity rather than a drinking session.

    More about this

Two formats run in Prague. The brewery visit goes out to one of the city's big working breweries, roughly 45 minutes door to door, for an hour-long tour followed by a few beers; some versions add a three-course meal in the brewery restaurant, which turns it into a two-hour lunch or dinner. The alternative stays central: a 90-minute sit-down tasting of around ten small local pours with a Czech snack, starting at a beer museum. Bring ID, as 18-plus checks apply. Both run all year, and the central tasting suits a Friday afternoon while the group is still arriving.

The tour covers how the beer is actually made, through the mash tun, the fermenters and the cellar, and takes about an hour. Then you sit down to a guided tasting of a flight of their beers, usually four or five, with someone explaining what you are drinking.

It is a sit-down, talk-to-each-other activity rather than a drinking session, and it works well for a group that has been on it since Friday. Most breweries have a taproom you can stay in afterwards.

Working sites mean closed-toe shoes and no flip-flops. Some breweries put on food; check before you book dinner elsewhere.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Is Prague good for a first-time stag organiser?

Yes. The package handles the planning — accommodation, activities and the nights out — so an organiser without stag experience isn't working it out from scratch.

Can we add extra nights in Prague?

Tell us what the group has in mind when you enquire and we'll say what's possible for that city and those dates.

What's not included in the Prague price?

Whatever isn't listed under a trip's "what's included" — flights, extra drinks, transport beyond what's stated and personal spending are on the group.
