You get a warm-up, a safety brief and then a rotation: aerial hoop, silks, a low trapeze, and ground skills like juggling, plate spinning and acrobalance. Instructors spot every attempt and the heights stay low, so nobody needs to be fit or brave to get through it.
Sessions usually run about ninety minutes in a padded training space, and they are indoors, so the weather is irrelevant. Expect the stag to be volunteered for the hardest of it and filmed doing it.
Wear something you can move in, no jewellery, and nothing loose. Bare feet or grip socks for the aerial work.

Local tips
Circus and aerial sessions in Birmingham are run by instructors who travel across the Midlands, so you provide the space: a function room, a hall or a large rental house. They can source a venue at extra cost. Ground skills such as juggling, stilts and unicycles take about 90 minutes and suit groups of ten upwards. Aerial hoop and trapeze need a room with rigging points and cap at about 20. Wear gym clothes, nothing shiny or slippery, and book it before anyone has started drinking.
